BULLES D’EAU project brought together 23 young volunteers to explore the challenges related to water in Paris, helping them imagine and consider other possible futures for 2050. Led by the associations Imaginarium-s, the University of Plurality Network (U+), and L’Épicerie Séquentielle, this project was supported by the participatory budget of Eau de Paris.
The project was organized in several phases:
Immersion in water issues: The project began with a weekend of exploration across Paris, where participants discovered infrastructures related to potable and non-potable water: sewer management, geothermal installations, and greening projects. This phase of territorial investigation allowed the young people to engage directly with specialists and discover key urban water infrastructures.
Creative Workshop: During a second weekend, participants worked with scriptwriters and illustrators to create six comic book stories. These narratives, imagining water in Paris in 2050, were later finalized by the illustrators.
Upcoming exhibition in October 2024: This exhibition will showcase the comic books as well as a short film by Sara Olaciregui, retracing all the phases of the project.
